— ENTRANCE HALL
To make this only six and a half square metre entrance hall work was a small riddle to solve. Five large wooden doors opening off it left even fewer possibilities for design. The chair was found on the streets of Berlin missing its seat, which I then reconstructed using a "recycled" pattern inspired by a book of Polish traditional cut-out art. The shoe cabinet - named “Wolfgang” - was the very first piece of furniture I designed and constructed. Standing on tall legs, Wolfgang leaves the lines of the floor plan free for the eye, and therefore does not reduce the space but enhances it.
